Tickets are now available for the 14th annual Redmond Kiwanis Vintner’s Dinner to be held May 18th at the Redmond Community Church.
The five-course catered, wine-paired meal is the Kiwanis Club’s largest fundraiser for its youth projects. About 125 wine aficionados have attended the past three years

Melrose Vineyards of Roseburg is the presenting winery for the meal being catered by Bleu Bites of Bend. When buying tickets, diners should be prepared to make their choice of three entrees, beef, salmon or Portobello mushroom.
Last year the wine dinner raised nearly $15,000 for Kiwanis youth projects, and an additional $10,800 for Beulah’s Place, the year’s selected beneficiary. This year the “raise-the-paddle” segment of the limited oral auction will benefit Jericho Backpacks, a project coordinated by the Redmond Ministerial Association’s Jericho Road program to provide weekend meals for homeless children in the Redmond schools. Kiwanis also provides $15,000 in scholarships to college-bounds graduates of Redmond’s schools. Other beneficiaries include the annual Fish Fair, Hospice of Redmond’s Camp Sunrise for grieving children; Shop with a Cop, Family Access Network and Healthy Beginnings.

Kiwanis Club of Redmond has been serving the children of the Redmond area since 1937. The service club has 60 men and women members of all ages, and meets each Wednesday noon for lunch at The View Restaurant at Juniper Golf Course.
